Researchers believe that the land on which Stonegate was built was settled by Native Americans between 3,500 to 1,000 BC! Civil War history abounds at nearby Fort Ward Park.

Stonegate consists of nearly 500 units among four small townhouse communities and one garden-style condominium complex. Condos and townhouse residences, built in 2000, range from approximately 1,500-2,800 square feet. The Colonial-style townhomes are three-story residences, which include a basement and an attached two-car garage. The typical floor plan offers three upper-level bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. In 2019, Stonegate townhomes sold from the mid $600Ks to the upper $700Ks.
