Moving to a new neighborhood? We know, it can be overwhelming! Making a real estate decision is more than just liking your new house – it’s about loving where you live. That’s why we provide our unique Neighborhood Orientation Tours to our clients – to match our buyers with a home and a community they’ll truly love. It’s about finding the right fit whether you’re coming to the DC Metro area from another part of the country, or moving from one city to another within the Metro area.
We believe you can’t get a true feel for a community just by going to an open house or simply looking at houses online – and community is everything!
You need an in-depth look at the local communities you’re considering that goes beyond knowing what houses are up for grabs.
We know the neighborhood histories, the local cafes with the best lattes, what homes in the area have sold for in the past, where you can pick up a bottle of wine — all of which will give you an even greater understanding of what you’ll get when you’re buying a house.
So, what happens on our Neighborhood Orientation Tours? First, we can meet virtually or in person to discuss what types of homes you like and the lifestyle you are looking to achieve. We’ll talk about neighborhoods you’ve already identified, and discuss other neighborhood options you might not have considered that fit your distinctive needs.
Once we’ve identified some neighborhoods to explore, we set up virtual tours of different neighborhoods so you can see where you’d love to live. We go over the history of the area, the types of houses that are available in your price range, and what the lifestyle might be like if you live there. We can discuss about what your commute would be like, or discuss it all while the kids play at a local park. Once done, you can then go out and explore on your own with your new knowledge on the local neighborhood. It’s a win-win for everyone, and gives you a taste for what could be your soon-to-be everyday life.
