Community can mean different things to different people. To us, it’s more than just the houses we’ve sold within the city-defined borders. After over 30 years of living and loving this community, it’d be hard not to get attached! We’re immersed in the culture, supportive of our neighbors, and dedicated to improving the already-great city of Alexandria and the greater Washington DC area.

By investing in neighborhood schools, speaking at local events, and supporting charitable organizations, we’re happily giving back to the community that’s given us so much over the years.

We believe that everyone can make a difference in their community and improve the overall quality of life for all residents. We’re members of the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Old Town, Del Ray, and West End Business Associations. Sue has spoken at city hearings on various issues, including lowering speed limits in our neighborhoods, and at the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce women’s group to encourage entrepreneurship within the community. By joining together and supporting every resident, the area will only get better!

We’re a family oriented business; we’re not just focused on our own family, but all families in the community. That’s why we invest in our local schools, whether it’s by volunteering our time or making a monetary donation. We’ve gladly given to schools across the area such as St. Stephens and St. Agnes, Bishop Ireton, Maury Elementary, MacArthur Elementary, Mount Vernon Elementary, George Washington Middle School, Lyles-Crouch Traditional Academy, and St. Coletta of Greater Washington.

We like to build up the community–literally. Our work with the local builders that we represent helps us shape the neighborhoods we live in.

Supporting the community is an easy thing to do, and isn’t restricted to donations and joining a board of directors. We enjoy supporting the local arts, shops, and restaurants of our community by sharing the amazing places and culture with our friends, clients and neighbors. We also sponsor local events such as Heart Month, where we help our neighbors improve their heart health through exercise and healthy lifestyles.
