Washington, DC - NW Quadrant History

Washington DC was established in 1780 to serve as official center for the U.S. government. Later the District of Columbia was split into quadrants one of which was the NW Quadrant. NW Washington abounds with history, and a majority of DC’s registered historic districts, landmarks, and homes are located within NW.

With NW DC being one of the largest quadrants of Washington DC there are an abundance of things to do from going to the National Zoo or going shopping at one of the many stores in nearby Georgetown. NW is full of great restaurants and activities close by. Some of the best things to do are visit the National Monuments, go to Rock Creek Park or Avalon Theatre.

If you want to have a fun night out or just have some tasty comfort food there are a variety of places that offer anything you might be craving for. Some of the local favorites are Comet Ping Pong which is a trendy place where you can play ping pong while eating great pizza, another favorite is Seven Reasons which is new to list and looks to expand the palate of the customer, some other ones to note are Zeppelin, Estuary, and Queens English
