There is so much exciting new construction in Alexandria and The Goodhart Group has the scoop. Here is the latest as of October 2023, organized by neighborhood. You can also visit this site to see our full list of Old Town new construction opportunities.
DEL RAY/ ROSEMONT
Bellefonte Avenue – 5 bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, 9,000 sq ft lot. Delivery spring 2026. Price is around $2.9M. Wyatt Avenue – 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, 5,000 sq ft lot. Delivery spring 2026. Janneys Lane – Two new homes each on a half acre lot. 5 bedrooms, + office, 6.5 bathrooms and 2 car garage. Price is mid $3M. Timber Branch Drive – 6 beds (+ office), 6.55 baths, theater, screened in porch and 2 car garage. Spring 2026 delivery. $3.595MALEXANDRIA’S WEST END
Seminary Road – Two new estate homes with pricing between $4.4- $5.2M. 7 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, 7,000 sq ft main house. Detached ADU above 2 car garage with additional bedroom and bathroom. 20’x40′ pool with separate pool house. Each new home will be on a 1 acre parcel. Delivery June and September 2026. Clarens Street – Six new estate homes with pricing between $4-4.8M. Each home will have 6 bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms with 7,000 sq ft of living. 2 car attached garages. Delivery starting in Fall of 2026.
Upland Park – Surrounding 5100 Echols Ave demolition has begun on the neighborhood of small single-family homes to make way for 92 new townhomes from NV Homes. The first of the new townhomes is set to be delivered in late 2025.
Eisenhower Pointe – Tri Pointe Homes is developing 130 townhomes on Eisenhower Ave next to the still-empty Victory Center office building. Affiliates of Stonebridge own the remainder of the property, including the Victory Center and have considered tearing down the office building and building a multi-family residential building; however there’s no timeline for when or if that will happen. The Victory Center was designed for federal government office space, but it has been mostly empty for years.

ARLANDRIA AND POTOMAC YARD
Oakville Triangle – At the corner of Oakville and Fannon streets west of Potomac Yard, next to the new Inova Healthplex under construction, Tri-Point Homes is building 84 townhomes, 571 multifamily units, and retail (including a new Founding Farmers restaurant). The healthplex is set to open in 2024. Learn more Potomac Yard Buildout – The City has approved a major residential buildout in Potomac Yard that includes 432 apartments, 120 townhomes, and an 88 affordable housing units. This project fills several remaining parcels near the Potomac Yard Metro Station and is moving forward in phases. Learn more about the development hereFAIRFAX COUNTY
The Huntington Club – The plans to redevelop the massive Huntington Club condos at Indian Dr have been put on hold. IDI Group Companies announced in Spring of 2023 they are waiting until market conditions (i.e. interest rates) improve before proceeding with redevelopment. The redevelopment plans call for creating a community with about 1,500 total units including 360 garden-style and townhouse-style condos on 19 acres. Lennar Homes at Huntington Crossing – At 6239 Shields Ave (across the street from the Huntington Metro Station), the Lennar Corporation is building a few dozen four story townhome-style condos each with 1-car garages, designer inspired kitchens, and owner’s suites on their own private floor. Homes are now being sold from the mid $700s. Rudy’s Kingstowne – EYA is under contract on the current home of Rudy’s golf entertainment center. They plan on building 174 residential units at 6625 S Van Dorn St.OLD TOWN
