Located where Dogue Creek meets the Potomac River, is the lovely neighborhood of Yacht Haven Estates. It is bordered by Ferry Landing Road to the north, Mount Vernon Memorial Highway to the west, and the Potomac River to the east and south.

Yacht Haven’s 186 homes were primarily built in the 1950s and 1960s. Most homes are in the 1,400-4,000 square foot range (with a few larger and a few smaller) and sited on generous half acre lots. Many homes have been expanded and a few new homes have been built since 2015. Homes on some streets (Dolphin Lane and Neptune Drive) are waterfront.
