This small plate, cocktail and wine bar in Del Ray offers a new menu just about weekly. Be sure to look for the pineapple and menu outside to see if this “pop up” restaurant is open. The Reserve is only open Wednesdays – Saturdays from 5-10pm and does not take reservations. If you have to wait for one of the 30 seats, visit the bar and enjoy The Reserve’s specialty cocktail list.

Cooking Class at Osteria Marzano

Do you love Italian food?  Sign up for Chef Marzano’s 90-minute hands-on lesson on preparing a seasonal Italian meal (the February lesson is on “Aphrodisiacs for Lovers”) – all while sipping on Prosecco. Then take a seat and enjoy the fabulous meal you two made. The cost is $85 person and includes the recipes. Classes are held at the chef’s Osteria Marzano restaurant.

Captain Gregory’s specialty cocktails and small plates will leave your mouth watering. Just a heads up, Captain Gregory’s requires reservations it is closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

This hot Old Town destination offers a truly unique date night with its “real life escape game experience.”  Take your date to Escape Room’s Old Town location (there are two locations in DC as well) and pick one of the four different rooms from which to escape: The Wizards Apothecary, Sherlock Holmes: A Matter of Time, Poe -Ranormal Activity, and Moriarty’s Madness. Each room offers different levels of difficulty. If you are booking a large group, be sure to check ahead of time and preorder tickets! The cost is $25.20 per person.

Just a short ride south of Old Town near Belle Haven, you and your Valentine can practice your spins, twirls and jumps during open skate at the Mount Vernon Recreation Center. You can also join a hockey clinic or take a “learn to skate” class together. Open skate is just $7 per person and skate rentals are just $3. Stop at the nearby Voila Pastry and Cafe afterward to warm up with hot chocolate and French-inspired desserts.
