Brunch Takeout and Delivery in Alexandria…and Beyond

If you’re missing your weekend brunch routine, read on! We’ve rounded up some restaurants that are still offering brunch takeout and delivery in Alexandria (and beyond) during Virginia’s stay-at-home Executive Order.

IN ALEXANDRIA

Hen Quarter
801 King Street

For just $15, can you have a hearty brunch from this Southern-style restaurant with The Albert Egg’Stein (fried egg bacon, pimento cheese, lettuce, pickle chips, tomato, apple butter) or a  Krispy Chicken Collab (Carolina reaper hot honey, mustard coleslaw, pickle chips, on a custom doughnut bun) with a Mini Split of Prosecco and orange juice. Hen Quarter is offering its own free delivery from 12 – 6 p.m. and curbside pickup. You can also order through DoorDash and UberEats.

Cafe Pizzaiolo
1623 Fern Street 

This Alexandria cafe just off Quaker Lane is best known for its pizza and Italian favorites but it offers an amazing brunch for delivery as well. Enjoy its frittatas, breakfast pizza, egg and cheese panini, and eggs arrabiata. Best of all? You can add beer and wine to your order as well!

 

Junction Bakery & Bistro
1508 Mount Vernon Avenue

Junction serves brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. -3 p.m. You can order online via UberEATS. Junction will also deliver to you or you can pick up your order. Enjoy its brunch classics like Huevos Rancheros, Brioche French Toast, and Croque Madame. For an extra decadent treat, add a pastry such as Junction’s Valrhona Dark Chocolate Croissant or maple blueberry scone. Yes, please!

Stomping Groun Del Ray
2309 Mount Vernon Avenue

Best known for its delectable biscuits, Stomping Ground is offering online ordering and pickup of its breakfast items, including its Fried Chicken Biscuit, Veggie Hash, and Breakfast Nachos. Pickup is available until 3 p.m. daily.

Taqueria El Poblano
2400-B Mount Vernon Avenue (plus two Arlington locations)

Get your Mexican brunch favorites here at this Del Ray establishment. From breakfast tacos and burritos to chile rellenos, there are several reasonably-priced options available. Be sure to order a Tamarind Cooler to wash it all down! Call 703-548-8226to place your order. 

Del Ray Cafe
205 E. Howell Avenue

The popular French cafe in Del Ray recently announced that it is offering an Easter brunch to-go! They’re offering most of the regular brunch menu, while substituting lobster benedict instead of crab as well as not offering ahi tuna salad sandwich. Don’t forget the sparkling wine for mimosas! You must place your order by April 9 to get for Easter.

Chop Shop Taco
1008 Madison Street 

For a Mexican style brunch, Old Town’s Chop Shop Taco is offering meals that feed four to five people. The meals include half-pound chorizo beef, half-pound chicken, and all the other great fixings, including guac! The meal package also includes two rolls of toilet paper and a $25 gift card. High-risk customers can pick up orders between 3 – 5 p.m.

ELSEWHERE IN THE DC AREA

Medium Rare
3601 Fairfax Drive Arlington, VA 22201 (plus locations in Bethesda and Cleveland Park)

Medium Rare is now offering carry-out and delivery for its weekend brunch (and dinners). You can also order via Postmates, DoorDash, and Grubhub. Medium Rare’s $27.99 brunch deal includes your a choice of entree (like Steak Frites, French Toast and eggs Benedict), a yogurt parfait, and either fruit or green salad, and rustic bread. Yum!

Napoli Pasta Bar
2737 Sherman Avenue NW Washington, DC 20001 (Re-opening April 6) 

If you’re in the mood for Italian, Napoli is offering bottles of to-go Italian wines. Wine is also 30 percent off when paired with items from a carryout menu of soups, pastas, and sandwiches. 

Ted’s Bulletin 

Locations in Ballston, Mosaic, Eastern Market, Gaithersburg, Reston, and 14th Street. 

Ted’s Bulletin is offering their full brunch and breakfast menu to-go and for delivery, including their famous boozy milkshakes (at all locations except Virginia ones). They’re also offering take-home mimosa kits from DC and Maryland locations. Be sure to try one of Ted’s famous tacos as well. 

The Bottom Line
