One of our favorite things to do is visit the many wonderful Alexandria farmers markets around town. Did you know that the market held in – aptly named – Market Square is the longest continuously running farmers’ market in the country? George Washington even peddled his produce there! Here’s a list of all of Alexandria farmers markets.

LIST OF ALEXANDRIA FARMERS MARKETS:

Old Town Farmers’ Market
Market Square, 301 King Street
Open Saturdays, 7 a.m. to Noon year round.
Free parking in the Market Square garage Farmers’ Market hours. No pets allowed.

Old Town North Farmers’ Market
Montgomery Park, 901 North Royal Street
Open year round Thursdays, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Del Ray Farmers’ Market
Corner of East Oxford & Mount Vernon Avenues
Open year round Saturdays, 8 a.m. to Noon.

Four Mile Run Farmers’ & Artisans Market
4109 Mt Vernon Ave.
Open year round Sundays 9 a.m to 1 p.m.

West End Farmers’ Market
Ben Brenman Park, 4800 Brenman Park Drive
Open Sundays, May through October from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
