Choosing a Realtor is about more than comparing agents’ costs and statistics. There are many different types of real estate agents. Most common is the individual agent, where an agent works on their own under a brokerage. Occasionally, they will have an unlicensed office assistant who does paperwork for them. Some agents form a partnership, where two individual agents team up and work together. Then you have teams. In most real estate team models, there is the main agent and then several assistants and buyer agents. Each licensed person on the team has their own business and clients within the team. There are even mega teams where the main agent is more like a broker and the agents on their team serve more as individual agents. Certainly, there are advantages and disadvantages to each type of model. The important thing is finding a trusted real estate team that’s committed to you. That’s where we come in.
The Real Estate Team Approach
Our model here at The Goodhart Group is a bit different. We are a boutique team where every person on our team is a trained specialist with a specific role, each person doing their part to serve our clients. On our team, Sue and Allison are the co-lead agents of the team. They work with every client of The Goodhart Group, whether they are buyers or sellers from the beginning of the process, through settlement and for many years to come. But, in order to provide the best service, they have hired specialists to enhance all aspects of the process for our clients.
With a traditional Realtor, you have one agent working hard on your behalf. When you work with us, you get a full team of trained specialists, working for you seven days a week at the same cost. From a dedicated listing manager, to a contract specialists and a customer service liaison, we have thought of every way we can help the sometimes painful process of buying or selling a home a better experience.
Our full-time dedicated listing specialist works to ensure that every seller has the best client experience during the process. This means coordinating all of the details from when we start working with a client until they are under contract. This includes scheduling stagers, photos, open houses, contractors and placing the property ads for their homes and much more.
Our two licensed buyer managers work exclusively with buyers (alongside Sue and Allison). Since they work only with buyers, they preview many properties and are true experts on the Alexandria and DC area real estate market, current inventory, and neighborhoods across the area. The four of them work together with every buyer to make sure we have as much time as possible available to show properties on their schedules.
Once any of our clients are under contract, our licensed contract specialist joins in to manage the transaction through settlement, making sure all of the deal’s i’s are dotted, t’s are crossed, and deadlines are met. She also is an expert at negotiating home inspections for both our buyers and sellers. On the buyer side, we also have an experienced inspection specialist who attends home inspections and final walk throughs with our clients.
Because client care is The Goodhart Group’s number one priority, we also have a dedicated client care specialist, responsible for maintaining current and past client communications and events. She is always available to answer any questions, provide referrals and more.
From the beginning when we start working with our clients, Sue and Allison are there throughout the entire process with this team of specialists to make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible.
The Real Estate Team Advantage
But, it’s not just about the number of people we have on our team, it’s what we can do for you together. We learned a long time ago that one real estate agent is not enough to give the best results or the best service. With so many perspectives and skills on our team, you’re always getting top of the line service. We each bring something unique to the table to create a true powerhouse team that covers all bases. We’re only getting better; we always make sure we’re on the cutting edge of marketing and real estate technology to give you the best experience possible whether you’re buying or selling a home.
To us, real estate is about so much more than just a house. It’s about truly loving where you live in a home and community that reflects your lifestyle.
That’s one reason we love living and working in a community that inspires us all on a daily basis. Our knowledge of the local communities goes beyond just knowing what houses are up for grabs. We know the neighborhood histories, what homes in the area have sold for in the past – even where to get the best lattes and pizza! This knowledge gives you an even greater understanding of what you’ll get when you’re buying or selling a home.
When you choose a reputable, skilled real estate team that also has the heart for you and your community, it takes away the stress and allows for the best parts of the experience to shine through.
We always stay focused on making your experience the best it can be, providing a specialized approach to every client, whether you’re looking to upsize or downsize or anything in between across all budgets, life stages and needs.
We’re right there beside you every step of the way. That’s the advantage of using a real estate team and it’s The Goodhart Group Advantage.
Helping people love where they live is our passion. If we can help you too, please reach out!
