Sue Goodhart began her career in real estate in 1992 after an extensive career in sales and management including fourteen years as a small business owner. Her educational background includes a Masters in City Planning from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dickinson College. Sue understands how to apply these experiences to the business of real estate and has been successful as a result. She is a licensed Realtor in D.C., Virginia, and Maryland and has been a proud Washington area resident for 40 years.
Sue has been one of Alexandria’s top agents since 2003. In 2018 she, along with her team The Goodhart Group, sold 131 million dollars in sales. In 2018 Sue, her daughter Allison, and husband Marty were invited to be the founding members of the Alexandria office of Compass Real Estate, a national real estate firm. In 2018, Sue was ranked as one of the top 5 agents in sales volume in Northern Virginia. In 2019, The Goodhart Group was included in the Wall Street Journal Real Trends Top 1,000 Realtor rankings at number 234.
Sue actively supports many non-profit charitable organizations in the City of Alexandria. She is the President of the board of St. Coletta’s of Greater Washington, is the Development Committee Chair for The Campagna Center, is a member of the Advisory Council of the Fund for Alexandria’s Child, the past President of the Seminary Ridge Civic Association, and a board member of the Choral Arts Society of Washington.
Sue enjoys spending time with her husband Marty and her daughters Allison and Amanda, their husbands Doug and Ben, grandsons Brooks and Wesley and golden retriever Maddie.
