Get To Know Allison
As the COO of The Goodhart Group I strive to be the driving force behind keeping the team operating at the highest level. Alongside my mom, Sue, I lead the team with a hands-on, client-focused approach, ensuring that every buying and selling experience is seamless and personal.
With a deep passion for real estate, I pride myself on guiding clients through one of life’s biggest transitions with expertise, care, and, of course, a touch of fun!
Real estate is in my DNA. Growing up in Alexandria, I spent my childhood helping my realtor parents, Sue and Marty, with marketing efforts—going door to door planting signs and flags throughout my childhood neighborhood of Del Ray.
By the time I was 18, I earned my real estate license, assisting The Goodhart Group whenever I was home from college. During one memorable summer break, I had the incredible opportunity to work directly for Barbara Corcoran—“New York’s Queen of Real Estate” and Shark Tank investor—an experience that reinforced my drive and business acumen.
After graduating with honors from Dickinson College in 2008, I dove headfirst into the family business, mastering every role within The Goodhart Group before stepping into my leadership position as the co-lead agent and COO of The Goodhart Group and Executive Vice President at Compass. Beyond helping clients achieve their real estate goals, I am constantly refining The Goodhart Group’s systems and processes.
Recognition As One Of The Top Alexandria Real Estate Agents
My extensive industry knowledge and innovative approach to real estate earned me national recognition in 2015 when Realtor Magazine named me one of its “30 Under 30.” In 2022, I was further honored as one of Alexandria’s “40 Under 40” by the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce. These distinctions let me know that all the work we put into delivering exceptional real estate experiences is working for our clients.
I have built my career to a level where my voice is a respected contribution in the industry, and my expertise has become highly sought-after. I’ve spoken at numerous real estate conferences, and appeared as a real estate authority on CNN’s The Situation Room, CBS Mornings, Good Morning Washington, and Let’s Talk Live. My insights have also been quoted in major publications, including The Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, and Curbed DC.
Beyond my leadership role at The Goodhart Group, I am exceptionally well-connected within the real estate community, both locally and nationally. I have cultivated strong relationships with top agents and brokers nationwide, giving our clients an edge whether buying in the DC area or relocating elsewhere. I believe real estate is as much about relationships as it is about transactions, and I takes pride in being a trusted resource for colleagues and clients alike.
Outside of Real Estate
Deeply committed to my community, I am a longtime member of the Junior Friends of The Campagna Center, have co-chaired significant fundraising events, and held leadership positions including Public Relations Chair, New Member Chair, and Treasurer. I have also been actively involved in The Fund for Alexandria’s Child for many years.
I enjoy spending time with my two boys, Brooks and Wesley, playing tennis, exploring new restaurants, attending live music and sporting events, and unwinding with a great glass of wine. I love being by the water and traveling whenever possible, and I am always fascinated by how people live, work, and play in different communities.
