Fantastic rooms for casual and formal gatherings. Three fireplaces (2 wood burning, 1 wood stove) to pass cold winter days/nights in front of. A beautifully thought out eat-in kitchen is complemented by stainless appliances, granite counter tops, wine cooler, island, great cabinet space and a wood burning fireplace. Off the kitchen is a mudroom that leads to a loft/”annex” area that can be used in a variety of ways, but we see it as the perfect space to retreat and unwind after a long day. It also has a set of stairs that lead to a private bonus room; possible bedroom or hobby room? You’re call! French doors grant access to a fantastic wrap around deck that is ready for grilling, parties, and lots of entertaining. Come on spring! And did we mention there’s even a hot tub and fire-pit on the patio? The upper level boasts three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The master features a beautiful ensuite bath with dual rain shower heads, handhelds and bench, four closets, a quaint window desk and a secret storage nook. One of the other bedrooms offers a walk-in closet and a shared hallway bath has a classic black and white tile. Moving to the finished, walkout, lower level, a rec room, laundry room and additional bonus room and half bath complete the space. Every inch of this home’s square footage has been utilized to the max. With an abundance of storage everywhere you turn; dormer storage in each bedroom, a wall of cedar closets in the lower, indoor/outdoor, everywhere is storage. It’s amazing! Situated on a surprisingly large corner lot, the professional landscaping is well maintained and other notable features are the tall white oaks, dogwoods, pines, numerous flower species and organic vegetable garden. Bus to the Pentagon and Braddock metros steps outside the home. Active community with annual tree lighting ceremony, a gardening club, email listserv, and much more. Close to Shirlington and Del Ray and Old Town. One exit from DC. Walk to neighborhood parks, playgrounds, farmers market, library, ice cream, pizza.

About The Neighborhood

Not to be confused with its Southern California cousin, Beverley Hills is a scenic Alexandria neighborhood with rolling hills, nestled in the northern part of Alexandria. Beverley Hills real estate is convenient to many area schools, including the lower-school campus of St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes, George Mason and Charles Barrett Elementary Schools, Alexandria Country Day and Grace Episcopal. Three preschools are also within walking distance to the neighborhood.

The approximately 600 homes in Beverley Hills are primarily 1930s and 1940s Colonials and Cape Cods. The hallmark of the community is its mature trees, mainly oaks and dogwoods, which are abundant in Beverley Hills thanks to its builder and early residents who recognized the importance of keeping its natural landscape. Few homes in their original footprint are available as most homes have been expanded or converted the small garages into living space.

Families with children love “The Pit,” the neighborhood’s well-known playground. The neighborhood is so friendly that kids and neighbors leave their toys there for everyone to share! A local civic association hosts several community events such as a Santa visit, a Christmas tree sale, and National Night Out. Memorial Day weekend brings “Wheel Day” to Beverley Hills, a parade of bikes and skateboards that wind through the neighborhood.

Residents can stroll to nearby Shirlington for dinner, enjoy happy hour at the many restaurants, or see a show at Signature Theater. The shops and restaurants of Del Ray, the Fairlington Shopping Center, and the Bradlee Centre are also an easy walk. Old Town, the Pentagon and Crystal City are all just five minutes away by car. Commuters will love the ease of access to the 395 as well as the Metro and bus services.
