Meet Allison! Allison is the COO of The Goodhart Group and keeps our team running smoothly. Along with her mom Sue, she is a lead agent on our team and prides herself on making the buying-selling process as personal and painless as possible.  Allison grew up in the real estate world. As a child, she loved helping her Realtor parents, Sue and Marty, with their marketing efforts by putting flags and signs on Del Ray lawns. As she got older, she earned her real estate license at age 18 so she could help The Goodhart Group when she was home on breaks from college. One year during a break, Allison was lucky enough to spend the summer in New York City working directly for Barbara Corcoran, “New York’s Queen of Real Estate,” and one of the investors on ABC’s Shark Tank.

After graduating with honors from Dickinson College in 2008, Allison began working full-time for The Goodhart Group. She quickly learned every facet of the business, starting as the team’s listing manager and working her way through every role on the team before becoming the team’s COO. In 2015, Allison was nationally recognized by the National Association of Realtor’s  Realtor Magazine, which named her one of their “30 Under 30.” In 2022, she was selected by the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce as one of the city’s “40 Under 40”.  She’s also been a speaker at numerous real estate conferences and appeared on television as a real estate expert several times – on CNN, Good Morning Washington, and Let’s Talk Live. She’s also been quoted by many news sources such as the Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, and Curbed DC.

Allison loves helping our clients achieve their real estate goals and transition into the next stage of their lives. In the office, she’s constantly working behind the scenes to make sure our team’s systems and processes are streamlined so that the real estate process is smooth for every client – from the moment they meet us until well after they close on their home.

Allison is a proud member of the Junior Friends of The Campagna Center. Previously, she co-chaired The Campagna Center’s annual Bright Futures benefit and the Heather & Greens, sale, as part of the Scottish Christmas Walk Weekend in Alexandria, in addition to serving as the group’s Public Relations Chair, New Member Chair, and Treasurer. She also has been involved in the Advisory Council for The Fund for Alexandria’s Child for many years.

When not working, Allison loves playing with her two little boys, Brooks and Wesley, playing tennis, trying out new restaurants, attending live music and sporting events, relaxing at home with a good glass of wine, and spending time near the water. She also loves to travel whenever possible, exploring how people live, work, and play in their own communities.
