If you’re looking to take a night off from cooking, there are still some great options for pizza delivery and take-out here in in Alexandria. Check out some of our favorite local pizza spots in Alexandria.

Faccia Luna

823 S. Washington Street
Faccia Luna was named Best Pizza in 2015 and 2016 by Washington City Paper and they deserve it! Try the Via Toscana, a white pizza with caramelized onion, prosciutto, and smoked gouda or its signature Faccia Luna, with sausage, mushroom, and roasted red peppers. Faccia Luna offers a variety of Italian menu options, including pasta and sandwiches, plus a kids’ menu. Along with the delicious pizza, excellent specials are available Friday and Saturday nights.

Pizzeria Paradiso

124 King Street
Pizza Paradiso prides itself on creating a great crust and signature pizzas, cooked to perfection in a 650-degree wood-burning, stone oven. Mouth-watering options include the “Di Mare” pizza, with spicy garlic pesto, mussels, shrimp, spinach, red onions, and grana padano cheese, plus various panini and antipasti.

111 King Street
Looking for a place to watch the game while having your pizza? Try Bugsy’s for its lively sports bar atmosphere. Named for former NHL star Bryan “Bugsy” Watson (a former owner), this neighborhood gathering spot offers gourmet thick and thin-crust pizzas.  Staying in? Bugsy’s will deliver to Old Town, Rosemont, Beverley Hills, Del Ray, Belle View, and Montebello.

904 King Street
RedRocks has both delicious Neapolitan style pizza and a fabulous wine list. Try its $12 lunch special, which includes your choice of a wood-oven pizza, salad, or sandwich and a drink. In addition to pizza, RedRocks offers sandwiches and full entrees, including Braised Short Rib Gnocchi and Seafood Risotto.

Mia’s Italian Kitchen

100 King Street
Mia’s in Old Town is offering their whole pizza menu available for take-out by the slice or whole pizza. Our team loves the sausage and peppers pizza. All wine bottles at Mia’s are also 50% off and come with a free roll of toilet paper. Be sure to also give their market a visit as well to take home some pasta and hot peppers of your own.

Primo Family Restaurant

1636 Belle View Boulevard
A Belle Haven institution, Primo’s has been family-owned and operated since 1988. Try the “Wolverine “ (the mascot of nearby West Potomac High School), with toppings of pepperoni, sausage, beef, ham, and bacon. Visit on Tuesday Pizza Night, when a second large pizza is just $4.99. This family-friendly restaurant offers so many different options beyond pizza, including a great variety of both Italian and Greek entrees. Primo’s also sells its dough so you can make your own pizza at home!

Atlantis Pizzeria

3648 King Street

Atlantis is well known in the Bradlee area for its New York-style pizza. Create your own from its extensive assortment of toppings – everything from pineapple to gyro meat. Atlantis also offers Greek and American cuisine, as well as breakfast. It makes a hearty soup of the day, (which is also available for sale by the gallon!).

Del Ray Pizzeria

2218 Mt. Vernon Avenue and
1401 Belle Haven Road

With locations in both Del Ray and Belle Haven, Del Ray Pizzeria is an Alexandria institution! Its cleverly named pizzas, such as “Maui Wowie” (with ham and pineapple) and “The Gringo” (a thin crust white pizza) are divine. Del Ray Pizzeria also has an extensive wine and beer list. The Del Ray location has Trivia Night every Monday and “Small Plates and Suds” on Tuesdays. The Belle Haven location includes a 1,000 square foot garden that provides the majority of its salad ingredients. Belle Haven also offers sinful frozen desserts at its adjoining The Custard Shack (open April – October). Custard Flavors of the Day include Double Fudge Brownie, Oatmeal Cookie, and Pecan Pie.
